Central Park in Spring

Sound like a movie title. Felt like the perfect day in a movie. We took the kids down to Central Park in NYC yesterday, we had a picnic, went to the zoo, played on the playground and the kids got thier faces painted.

Central park is a kick when it gets warm, all kinds of people come out of the wood works to get you to give them money. People playing music, people juggling, doing magic tricks, or just painted in crazy costumes. Our favorite was the fairy, the girls were quite delighted with her. But only Veronica was brave enough to take some "pixie dust" from her. Ryan told her the dust would make her fly and Veronica said,"It's only glitter, Uncle Ryan." Oh....

There are huge rocks that the kids loved playing King of the Rock on, Ryan would chase them up, and they would squeal with delight. Then they found one they could actually slide down. They slide down it so much that Veronica now has holes in her pants, we will have to retire that pair!

But they LOVED getting thier faces painted, the lady who painted them was very good at it and they sat perfectly still. It was a great day at the park. The trees were all a bloom...just magical. Wish you were here.

It's good to have days like this to think back on when things get CRAZY at home!
Was with Tiff yesterday. We were talking about you and I realized I hadn't checked in on the other Johnsons for a while.
