Now open for business is the Hotel Johnson located in beautiful Spring Texas. If you are heading through Houston area stop on by only the baby bites!
This has been one heck of a busy summer, I am tired but there is no rest for the weary. Next Monday we turn Tamme's house into a hotel!
The summer started off with one heck of a bang, my cousin Nick who I haven't seen in probably 10 years comes for a little visit bringing his beautiful wife Becca and their darling 5 children with him. They stayed for a couple days and we had a blast catching up. Emmett and Nicks little boy were quickly BFFs (do boys have BFFs? well if not then the equivalent). Then we had three more days of school before we took off to the Johnson Family reunion at Canyon Lake, TX. Then Hotel Johnson was back in business as we brought home part of the Johnson clan.
That was really fun to see all the Johnsons together except Warren but we never liked him much anyway. Brittany and Matt got the shirts made and Sally provided the mustaches, honestly Emmett was the only one who looked really good in his 'stache. We had fun showing off our beloved Texas to them, even taking them to the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory for a tour and LOTS of ice cream thanks to their dollar second scoop policy!
We then had Melanie and Dennis Nailon with their two tornados come for a week while their house was getting ready...yeah they just moved down the road from us. I clocked it the other day and they are exactly 3 minutes from our house! LOVING IT!!
Then we had one Miss Veronica come for two weeks, remember Ronnie Cakes? She is almost 12 and still fights with Cambelle like the good old days....actually that was not my favorite part. But we did a few fun things with her, like taking her to the ice cream factory for more ice cream and then went to the little water park across the street to celebrate Cambelle's birthday.
After Veronica went home we had a little down time as we repaired Hotel Johnson in preparation for the Mathews crew to come a week later. Tamme and her 5 critters came to the hotel and stayed for just 5 days but I tell you those five days with 9 kids were long and tiring! It was party central for 5 days here, even taking the kids to the beach at Bolivar one day, and back to the ice cream factory again for yet more ice cream. Blue Bell should really start paying me to give the tours by this point.
So now the hotel is closed for the summer, I think....it's still early August, there is plenty of time for someone to be passing through needing a warm bed and a chatty hostess.
